The recipes are more for flavor I believe as well as vitamins. I didn't want a replacement because I saw to many complaints about it leaking here after I purchased it and those people didn't get a refund like I did because they waited to long. If you use it every single day before the warranty it will leak. They know it, they've had several complaints but still sell a defective product. I don't appreciate. It does not leak for me, its very fast at blending, and is very easy to set up and clean up. Im sorry that yours did not work for you, but i recomend buying it again and testing it out once more, and hopefully it does not react the same for you.
